Just like the psone version, but much better and a nice make over.

This game is very good and has more replay value then Star Ocean First Departure, which is a good thing to say. The battle system is better as your comrades use skills more wisely, and even your magic user Cecline doesn't even need her spells equipped to her as she'll use the right spells at the right times. The story line is much better and it seems more like a romantic storyline for Claude and Rena much like the orginal Star Ocean 2nd on psone, and the usual save the world kind of deal. The PA's are funny and interesting, Welch is again a guest party member for the game ( seems more like she is a needed for all Star Ocean Games now ), and voice overs and music is very good. In all fairness this is a great game, and well worth an add on to anyone's psp collection of games. Now this is one of the top 5 best rpgs for the psp, but of course future great rpgs are coming, however Star Ocean 2 for the psp is a great rpg to keep coming back to for more and more.
