This game is so sub-par, I don't want to write much about it.
Star Fox: Assault has plenty of your foxy essentials. There are multiple vehicles, abysmal multiplayer, and frantic action in single-player. You still have charge shots and boosts, bombs and barrel-rolls. It's missing a lot though.
The campaign feels like it's on rails. Unlike every Star Fox game to date, you cannot choose your path in these modes. Instead of giving you multiple endings, you have to earn medals for stupid and unnecessarily difficult reasons.
The multiplayer, though vastly improved, still sucks.
And the graphics and sound are nothing to hug and kiss, while the other games were great. Sure everything is loud and shiny, but stripped down the sounds and voiceovers are that of the N64 version, and I swear your arwing is about ten polygons.
This game can be fun for one hour. Then it's all over. You may be tricked into playing it through again, but you will realize the sad, sad truth. This game falls flat. Not worth anything.

Star Fox: Assault combines both Adventures with 64; and for the most part; it works well.
