1st the game as an intense replay value because there is more than one way to end a mission and there is more than one track to take to go to the final level (there is even some hidden one you can't see from the start) and going to some planets threw different track will completely change the levels making something new challenges for the player
2nd now i know i say this often but the boss battles in this game are just to fun some levels have more than one boss and heck some bosses have more than one way to be defeated talk about fun
3rd the story is also good but since it's a shoot them up who cares let's just shoot the bastards
4th some levels give you a completely different feeling to kill the repetition like Aquas where you use a submarine and the levels where you use the landmaster more than that in some levels you can fly arround freely making turns shooting at whatever is in your way ex: the 1st battle against Starwolf...
this game is simply one of the best game Nintendo has ever made it's only sad to see that today the starfox games are badder every time one is released i mean dinosaur planet was good but wasn't even a shoot them up anymore then it went downhill with assault don't get me wrong here assault's classic levels where great but there are only 4 of them on ten and then command was a bit better but still the new flight engine was a bit weird anyway enough babbling about this series just try starfox 64 you'll be glad you did
