Has it really been 10 years since WC?? God, I loved that game (there were two -no?). The cut scenes with live actors just pushed the storyline along like no other flight sim since. Tnx Chris- PC'ers are not dead.
Yep, I'll be watching for this for sure. Haven't played a great space sim in a looooong time, since Wing Commander: Kiralthi Saga.
Being able to walk around on your ship, man turrets, board enemy/friends ships, and shoot bad/good guys, yup that does it... If they pull this off to half of what they plan I'll buy it. Any more and I'll buy all the expansions and hit up the cash store.
I hope Egosoft and the X team wakes up after this. Their latest run of crap news about game mechanics for X:Rebirth, and then over a year of info black out is just bad.

Oh, the memories, loved all his games, they were well made. Still have all of them in my collection.

2 Like I haven't really enjoyed a space combat sim in a LONG time, always wishing they were more like Wing Commander/Freelancer. I hope he comes back as good as he was - his games were fantastic!
@EvilShabazz yeah those were great games same with FreeSpace and I believe there are people working on a new one that looks pretty cool and it is coming on the vita and pc

Evochron Mercenary has been keeping me sane but i would love to see a big budget Space Sim/Action game :-D
X3 series holds the title for the best space sim ever. X rebirth is coimg out in December and looks to be epic. Chris, you have dome very big shoes to fill.
3 Like What he is going to give you guys The Wing Commander, Privater series plus more like a world you can get lost in with cutting edge graphics and gameplay with all the elements to make it the most enjoyable experiance you will ever have.
@sovereign314 Why's everybody here ignoring Freelancer? It's probably most likely to resemble Freelancer but this time he'll be able to include everything he wanted to.

yeah his accent does sound weird. Its not a manchester accent. But i do detect some "English" and some Canadian
