1 Like I was really looking forward to this game but the lack of split-screen multiplayer renders it useless to me. I'm sure the single player bit's fun but why do racing game developers keep forgetting that people might want to race against their friends? When I bought that second controller for my XBox, it wasn't just in case the first one broke.

looks good but one problem for me this seems like this shouldnt be an entire game seems like its should be just 1 part of a bigger game. just my thoughts
A mostly dubstep soundtrack, awesome graphics, sweet adrenaline pumping racing and a solid $40 sale at Gamestop. yes I will eventually get this.
i can see how it could be a woman and i don't see how his/her voice is terrible. Sure its different but hey, that what makes it interesting. P.S.i don't know about you bu ive been waiting for this game for a while. first next gen ssx to exist! finally! (not counting blur on the wii) make sure its got Psymon Stark and im sold!
@JMCDS45 Is...is "she' really a she? Are you sure.... either way its still a terrible voice... I actually didn't even watch the review as soon as I heard it.
Oh man gamespot needs to hire narrators with awesome voices to voice the reviews... I can't stand this guys voice...

ski11buzz - she probably hasn't been on a ski slope. But she's a COMPUTER GAME reviewer and therefore well suited to offering an opinion on the game! Look at the tricks/jumps etc. in the game. Clearly SSX has not gone for realism.
im sorry but the reviewers voice makes him sound like he's never been on a ski slope. looks like a good game tho
@manuelg89 Maybe. I find that in global trick events and explore events where friends of mine have set some very high scores, it becomes quite difficult at times to maintain the combos long enough to rack up the points I need to defeat them, and sometimes I push it just a little too far and wipe out, losing a big combo rather than cashing it in. So I find the challenge is there when you start getting competitive, but maybe that just means I'm not that good at it. :P
@bgghgubcjhgknjk Doing tricks might be easier in this game, yes, but in my opinion, the tracks, by and large, are more treacherous and more difficult to navigate (which I like). And as easy as pulling off tricks is, I still find there's quite a bit of skill required to rack up huge combos and be competitive with the best of the best in global events.
Dude this game is actually pretty sick!! Brings me back to SSX Tricky days all dubstep like.
i hate no split screen...i wanted to bring back days of ssx3 playing with the bro and friends at home...guess im dusting off the ps2 for that. as disappointing as that is, its still most likely a buy anyways
what is he talking about it's harder then previous games?! I literally played this for 5 minutes and was landing amazing tricks and getting huge air then i went within 5 minutes to ssx on tour and ssx tricky and it took me 10 minutes to do a single trick!
@bansheeking, if u find a game to easy, try turning up the difficulty? just incase u didnt understand..... most games these days are easy on the default settings, thats why they usually have multiple difficulty settings for older/ experianced gamers?
WHAT SKILL EDGE???? oh yeah, you must be young, you must always of played games were the designers have made it easy for you, like they do with ALL games nowadays.........there is no skill........and again, if your a F@:KIN LONER!!!! Then play your games on your own.......I want to race my mates not try and beat there times although I'll have to put up with it now. This game could have been AWESOME!! if they just would have included proper multiplayer..........RANT OVER:))

@punksk8erdude - they leave out split screen for one reason. Money. They would rather you and your friend each have your own system and your own copy of the game. Ea is the greediest of them all
