I'll be honest, I didn't even play it. I bought it, brought it home, then promptly returned it as soon as I noticed the 1 Player icon on the box. It was extremely disappointing because it looked amazing, complete with the usual SSX game play and stunning graphics/visuals, but the whole reason I bought it was to play with my friends head-to-head. The online multiplayer experience wasn't even done properly - not giving players the opportunity to go head-to-head in real time creates a complete lack of drama or excitement. Instead, it becomes a tedious exercise of precision. When players go head-to-head in real time – especially in the same room – a sense of urgency and true competition is created that time trials and shadow racing just can't do. The annoying part is, with the graphics capability of current gaming systems, as well as the large screen sizes and resolutions of modern televisions, it would have been possible to add a 4-way split-screen play option. Instead, EA decides that gamers hate social interaction and make it a reclusive only game. Not cool. Sorry EA, but if you want me to drop that kind of cash on a racing game(which is, more or less, what SSX is), you had better give me a proper multiplayer experience. Without that, the game becomes obsolete far too quickly and is just not worth the cost - no matter how pretty it looks.
