The Best. As Usual.

User Rating: 9.5 | SSX PS3
SSX has continually offered thrills unmatched by almost all games ever made. This newest offering is no different. It will be familiar to fans, but also offers tons of new content and thrills.

I've been playing the game all day and you will be pleased that it is everything you've been waiting for. Fans will eat this to the marrow. There is so much to do, it is unreal. This will keep you busy for quite some time.

They created a new layout for the controls and tricks which didn't feel right in my hands. It's by no means terrible, but I'm so happy they gave an option to us veterans to use the "classic" control scheme. Thanks EA!

If you want to play online, you either need to buy the game new or purchase an online pass to play. I'm sure we'll see this as the trend from now on. Kinda makes me worried, but if the online offering is good, what's an extra five or ten bucks.

Oh yeah, the graphics are killer. Don't like the music, but you can make your own soundtracks with ease (thank goodness).

That's about it. Enjoy the game!

Edit 3/4/12:

I've put about 30 hours into the game so far, and I can still say that it is incredible. The online aspect is extremely fun. Yes, it sucks there's no real-time simultaneous multiplayer, but the the online features are incredibly unique and addictive. There are hundreds of "drops" where you can try to beat the scores of thousands of other players, and, while you're completing these attempts, you see other players in real-time trying as well. It is very interesting, and incredibly rewarding to FINALLY make it to a platinum or diamond score, which nets you serious cash for better equipment. You feel like you earned it.

Some have complained that the game is too difficult. All I can say is that it is challenging and that's how games should be. If a level has trial and error, then good! It takes one back to yesteryear when games didn't have to hold your hand all the time.

I'll keep adding to this review if need be. Buy the game!
