I have been a fan of the SSX series since it debuted on the Gamecube with SSX tricky. I loved every second of it then, and its just insane now.EA BIG has brought us the same addictive and fun gameplay elements from tricky, but this time there’s so much more. There is free roaming and you can just free ride the mountain for as long as you want. There are very few restrictions that limit you to where you can go and the mountain is insanely HUGE! It takes about a half hour to ride from top to bottom of the mountain (and that’s only if you take the racing routes!). There’s dozens of races, and trick courses full of everything from avalanches to wind storms. Sometimes when you grind a log it will collapse on you and you take nasty a hit to the snow. You can unlock tons of stuff, with unique items and clothing apparel for each character. The new radio BIG feature is very nice. You can just free ride the mountain listening to the radio with tons of licensed music, or you can pick and choose which songs you want and customize your own play list. Overall this game exceeded my expectations in every category and EA made an exceptional game even better. Next to Final Fantasy X this is my favorite Playstation 2 game.
