I am a huge fan of platformers, (thus all the sonic games) and since i owned a ps1 i was waiting for a good one too come out. Crash bandicoot was good, but it wasnt anything that new. Spyro is unlike any game i had ever played. The worlds and characters looked amazing for the playstation, and it was a great game to just relax and play with. Nothing was overcomplicated. Although i beat the core game pretty fast going back to collect all the gems took me a while, and added some more difficulty and depth to the game. Spyro was a unique game, and the soundtrack was also great. It always matched the world perfectly, and was fun to listen to while playing. If you still own a playstation and dont have this game, buy it used somewhere. You wont regret it.
