Spyro: A Hero's Tail User Review
This is an average platformer, way too easy and mini-games are boring.

- The Bottom Line:
- "Almost, but not quite"
I have loved Spyro the Dragon ever since I played the game on my PlayStation. It was fun collecting gems, saving dragons, going to different worlds... The two sequels were awesome, better than the first Spyro, and then I played A Hero's Tail on PS2.
It was funny that it was so easy, no challenge whatsoever - even boss battles like Gnasty Gnorc were too easy. Now I know this game is meant for children but to me, a hardcore gamer, its so easy. The gameplay was okay, just easy. The mini games were boring because its nothing special and again easy.
The graphics were colourful and sharp, it was good. The music was, I admit, great. It sounded really good for the levels. Voice acting was okay... just Spyro's new voice made him sound like a dweeb. I like the old voice for Spyro better - it sounded cooler and just right for the character.
OVERALL: It's not bad for children and it was okay at times but it can get boring for me because I like hard games, not easy. I don't mind easy when I feel annoyed at a hard game. So its an average score for me.

Not terrible, but compared to the first few spyros it just doesn't match up

Not as good as the first three games, but certainly well ahead of the previous, overall, a highly impressive game...

Spyro kicks some serious *** in this movie. Its a assortment of videos all recorded by myself, from the PS1, to XBOX360. Enjoy, and comment if you like!Posted Aug 6, 2008
