How is the online now? Has everyone moved to newer racing games?

I went online three weeks ago, only finding one room with 5 players in it...
One was finishing the entire race, every time in under a minute (2 lap & 3 lap races).
Another player *seemingly* had infinite PowerPlay Meter, as they were setting off all possible Lv2 PowerPlay's back-to-back, all on the 1st lap... while still managing to set off most Lv1 PowerPlays on the same lap.
The other three were playing Legit.
I never found another room that day. I also have no intention of ever going online again (none of my friends have Split/Second).

I see, thanks for the information. Will probably skip this one then.

It's a shame, really.
The game is indeed fun (Cars & Explosions? Woot!!), but yeah. Online is dead and/or has an unfavorable amount of cheaters in it.
If you have friends that like racing games, then I would say its worth the $20, but if you planned to play with randoms... look elsewhere.
