Good game, lot of gore and classic
For the beginning, I must warn everyone who hates gore and blood: Do not play it!!! This game only for those who can endure huge amount of mutilated corpses.
The grafic isn't half bad. Despite minor flaws, it looks pretty good. The combat itself also quite good, because you can't win by button mashing. Different enemies often require different startegies.
Enviroments are awesome. They have many details, and are pretty unique. The horror parts are looking great, to appeal most of horror movie's fans. Return of 2D stages and classic games, are also awesome addition for nostalgic platform players. Another good thing are pretty wide cast of enemies and bosses. So it won't get repetative after you beat 2-3 stages.
Overall game deserves respect, for being good made mature beat'em'up with classic touches and a good plot. Though being a little short, it manages to bring some interesting things up, along with breaking fourth wall.
From my point of view, I be glad to see Splatterhouse 2 for PS3, so at least rent it , if you like bloody games.
