To date, this is probably one of my most loved and played super hero games; bright, fun and loyal to its material.

I have extremely fond memories of playing this game in my youth, a game that was very different from alot of other games that were out at the time. You had the chance to play as Spider Man! With all his powers! In a 3D comic book universe! All very exciting stuff when your a 13 years old boy.

Made by the same guys who brought you the Tony Hawk games, Neversoft were at their prime for game developing at the time (in my opinion). The game was basically a 3D action/adventure game, where you swung round the world and beat the hell out of goons and other bad guys.
You went toe-to-toe with everyones favourite Spidey villians such as, Carnage, Doc Oc, Rhino, Scorpion and many, many more.

What sets this game apart from all the other Spider Man games -and many other games like it- is the sheer amount of material it crams into the game. A hell of a lot of villians, cameo apperances from other super heroes, unlockable costumes, comic covers, character bios, all at the time was very original.

Graphics: Very colourful. The Dreamcast version in particular is a treat to look at, as the detail is much better. Still great to look at today; they have a nice charm. 8

Sound: Hammy voice-acting, but it is the comic world. Great soundtrack acompanies it. 7.5

Gameplay: A little bit dated on todays standards, but they are still very much playable. 8

Sh!te Box: A little dated gameplay wise. Pretty short. Some stages can be annoying.

Overall: A bloody good game as a whole. I've played it the last few weeks and it is still very much fun to play. If you like comics or Spidey games, this is worth looking into. Pluse
it's pretty cheap these days.
