Not bad, not great, simply boring and tedious.

I want to like this game. I got it on a friend's recommendation, and I was expecting it to at least be interesting. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The first thing that irked me about this game was the graphics. They were really bad. Edges were very jagged, even with full AA. Textures would flicker, and even the slightest explosion on the screen would slow the game to a crawl.

In this game you play as Peter Parker, aka Spider Man, who has been infected by the Venom, which allows you to switch between two different suits instantly. The story is not bad, and some moral decisions at certain points in the story can be interesting. Unfortunately, the choices seem to have a large impact on the story, but in reality they do not. The venom suit is powerful, while the normal suit is acrobatic. The two suit types had a lot going for them: cool new moves for each suit, different play styles, but it didn't really matter which suit you used. It would have been nice if the game had at least mixed up the enemy types so that you would need to switch between the suits on the fly, but instead, there were only a couple different enemy types at any one time, and you could kill them simply by button mashing in either suit type. The combat had the potential to be really good, unfortunately, you won't use 80% of the moves available to you.
One great feature that this game has (and perhaps the only one) is spiderman's agility. You can climb walls, jump great distances, swing from webs (my favorite) and much more. You can also fight enemies while climbing walls, which is cool the first few times, but ultimately the camera will get ready messed up, severely hampering this feature. Unfortunately, the good qualities of the game stop there. The voice acting is really, really, bad. Peter Parker's actor has an extremely whiny voice, and most of the other actors overplay their lines way too much. The mission types are also pretty boring and generic. You will guard convoys, you will fetch stuff, you will kill a number of creatures. That's it. There are some more varied missions, such as breaking into a high-security prison, but these missions are often more annoying than fun.
This game really isn't that great. The different attacks are cool (if you ever use them) and the agility is nice, but it is brought down by bad graphics, boring missions and horribly voice acting.

Gameplay: 6--You have many different attacks, and the swinging, jumping, and climbing is fun, but the combat is never used to its full potential and the camera is awful.

Graphics: 4.5--Jagged edges, bland art design, and LAG! The animations can be nice sometimes.

Sound: 3--Not much in the way of sound, and the voice acting is pathetic.

Replayability: 6--It's interesting to chose different moral choices the second time around, but there isn't much else (aside from choosing different powers)

Overall: 5.5
