In this version of the game, Spidey can beat up clowns.

This is a fun little handheld game that's loosely based off of the 2002 movie of the same name. It's a traditional 2D side scroller that allows Spidey to crawl up walls, punch and kick enemies, and shoot webbing.

Colorful graphics and fun levels make this game worthy of a playthrough. From a ghetto city level to a carnival level with clowns throwing chainsaws at you, Spidey gets a taste of just how crazy his enemies are, from Kraven the Hunter to the Green Goblin.

The action here is not bad. Spidey not only can punch and occasionally kick, but he also has an arsenal of web power-ups to use against thugs like web balls and temporary super strength, just to name a couple of them. You'll need every power-up in order to dodge bullets and stop enemy robots to solve mystery of the Green Goblin and his influence on other super villains.

There are also a few bonus levels where Spidey can swing through a rough-looking New York City in a '3rd person perspective'. Your goal is to keep Spidey swinging as long as possible and pass over balloons carrying bombs before time runs out. It's a nice side trail from the main game.

Overall, it's a fun little GBA game to have.
