We chat up Gerard Lehiany of Beenox to ask him about a chronal link.
no open world and no good graphics like web of shadows .i'd rather rip this beenox studio apart for spoiling the spiderman series, wish they'd taken back SHABA
My vote goes for trashing this one instantly, and focusing ressources on building an open world Spider-man game again. With the new technologies, it could go beyond greatness. This game sounds boring and claustrophobic. Spider-man games should be about the freedom associated with his powers, which closed game environments do not call for. It seems to me that the industry is obsessed with player impact mechanics, when what we really want is solid gameplay rather than feeling majorly influential. Especially in Spider-man games.
They should stop with the silly level based games and make a good open world one like web of shadows!
I've got a great idea. Instead of making a level based game with two Spider-men (and 2099? Really? I found him annoying in the last game. His one liners were NOT FUNNY) they make an open world game with one Spider-man so there can be an actual plot beyond a beginning and end. Shattered Dimensions' plot was thus: Oops. Broke a tablet and the pieces are scattered across dimensions. Good thing they all landed in ones with a Spider-man and there's no one else but him around to retrieve them. *insert flip flopping levels as different Spider-men while facing off against various villains for no reason other than that they have a piece of the tablet. Insert Stan Lee cameos.* Roll credits. I think an open world Spider-man Noir game would be a great idea since it's a world and character that not a lot of people are familiar with and it's entirely different from what a lot of the Spider-man games have been so far.
Spider Man The Shatters of Dimension is the best one with all 4 Spiderman & Now This one is also looking coool so i am waiting for this one................
c'mon guys! Activision & Beenox think we're all a bunch of idiot trying to sell us a game that looks like as the last Shattred dimension (but with less playable spidy-incarnation)? I'm very upset seeing that the new standard for super-hero videogames set by Batman: Arkham Asylum looks like never existed. I mean, programmers should take B:AA as THE super-hero videogame and not like just A super-hero videogame. don't you think?
wow another spider man game? why wont they change a bit? i mean what about aouther super heroes? like a deadpool game... id play that... XD
"hey guys, let's remake our last game, with the same game mechanics, same gameplay, and half the characters!" I too want sandbox spider back. I should play shattered dimensions first though before I say bad things about this game lol. Just started web of shadows, this is what I want more of. Maybe shattered dimensions was just an experiment to see how people responded, and now they are releasing the full awesome version the way it was meant to be! Just like portal... I just excited myself! I'm done talking now.
seriously lukin good as compared to spidey previous games..but it has to after batman arkham asylum they didnt have much choice..hope this game will bring a good change in super hero games
I just finished Shattered Dimensions yesterday and had a blast. Lots of fun, varied levels. Guessing it'll be similar in some way. Personally, I think Spidey works best in a sandbox setting ala Spider-Man 2. Mind you, you can't do those varied levels as well in that setting. Still, I keep hoping we'll see a GOOD Spidey sandbox game on the current consoles some day.
i think they should take there time and make a super good spiderman game with great gameplay and graphic and so on and i think they should focus more on spiderman him self like what he can do like crawl in the shadow and seek attack stuff like that.
Looks cool, but I am concerned that they seem a little too eager to put out another Spidey game in less than a year.
Is that Magneto's cape and helmet at 1:07? I thought I saw the last of X-Men in spiderman games in Web of Shadows!!
@AnonYC I agree, I miss the open world sandbox play from Spiderman 2. @brandon2802 Well, hopefully they'll surprise us with depth and quality but as things stand, you seem to be right. OT: Personally, I'm just glad to see more superhero games that aren't tied to a movie release. The downside is that everyone seems to be wanting their own Arkham Asylum and it's just not happening yet.
I loved Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions, but i gotta admit that this game doesn't seem that interesting. So far it looks just like SSD without Noir and Ultimate spidey. Hopefully, i'm wrong.
How is this any different than Shattered Dimensions? Noir and Black Spidey aren't available. Otherwise it looks the exact same game concept.
Ultimate Spider-Man was the best Spider-Man game, so make part 2 of that next. I would also like an open world Spider-Man Noir or 2099 game. I don't really like this jumping back and forth between various Spider-Men business.
