Great Spider-Man rogue gallery and for it's time, it's still a great Spider-Man game to pick up from time to time.

For the time that this game came out, it was quite a bit of it's time. This was really the first great Spider-Man game to come out for a game console. Spider-Man is your classic side-scrolling action game but implements a pretty good amount of the comics into the game.

As Spider-Man you are able to do just about anything Spider-Man CAN do. You can swing from webs, shoot webbing at enemies, and stick to surfaces. Not only do you get to engage in combat fighting your standard thugs, but each level features multiple villains to fight. Along the way you'll encounter the Lizard, Doc Ock, Venom, Hobgoblin, Sandman, Electro, and as a final boss fight, the Kingpin. The game difficulty is set pretty good for most of the game with certain spots being more difficult than others. The game also implements the Peter Parker side of things into the game and does so very well. Along the way you get to take a few pictures in each level. Pictures earn you cash, and cash allows you to buy more webbing. What you take pictures of will determine how much cash you receive for your pics too. Take a picture of a random thug and you might get $25 to $50. Take a picture of a boss and you'll net more like $500. Spider-Man is still a great game today and that's rare being that it's nearly 20 years old. I still like to pop this game in once in a while and have a go at it.
