Charming but Obnoxious, Repetitive, and Unfair

Spelunky has a lot of charm. The visuals are cute and the music is nice. The randomness can lead to funny things like tossing a damsel toward the exit only to have her eaten in one bite by a ravenous plant. Some items ar... Read Full Review

this game took me by suprise the first hour became two than four and so on.

Spelunky in short is a game entirely based on going into an ominous cavern and grabbing loot, sounds simply right then you add in the spiders, bats, arrow traps, and an angry storekeeper who set's up shop in pretty weird... Read Full Review

    hard core random fun

At first Spelunky seems unnecessarily hard but after a while you start to love it for its difficulty, surviving a hoard of levels and thinking ' how the hell did i survive that!' makes you feel proud of yourself, but sad... Read Full Review

Difficult but fun game, especially with some couch buddies

And it is both more difficult AND fun with friends. The multiplayer is only local, and your friends will get in your way, but it makes it all the more fun as you die laughing and yelling at your friend for killing you. ... Read Full Review

    Addictive little game.

One of the few games available on the Xbox 360 that I wished was available for the PS3 and now it is - and the Vita too! It doesn't disappoint on either platform. There's a demo available so if you're curious, try it... Read Full Review

A mostly balanced and fresh, but often frustrating, ever-changing hybrid of action and puzzle platforming.

First of all, I should mention that I played this game with a keyboard, which is probably an experience a little more frustrating than playing with a gamepad. But the game isn’t compatible with the one I have and I... Read Full Review
