This is the highest honor that we bestow upon a PlayStation 3 game, and with it we acknowledge the one game that stands out from all the rest as being the greatest game of the year. Granted, the PlayStation 3 hasn't been available for more than a few weeks, but it shipped alongside a fairly impressive lineup of different games. While we fully expect the system to come into its own in 2007 and beyond, evidence of the PS3's great potential is amply present in our five finalists for Best PlayStation 3 Game:
