Once again, terrible market research. How many people really want a realistic guitar to play a fake music game. Its nice to have sure, but at $300, you can buy a half decent real electric guitar for that or both game kits with multiple plastic instruments. If you had to buy all these peripherals you would have over half a thousand invested in one game. I can think of alot of games more deserving of my hard earned money. I will just stick to my trusty plastic Gibson Les Paul for my fake guitaring needs.
never liked the company.... and for $300 you can buy rockband and rockband 2 with all the instruments for that!!!! or guitar hero to which ever you prefer...
First let me just say this Madcatz suks at making any and everything I bought a few things from them and they were absolutely terrible and they broke fairly easily also for the people who say just go out and by a real instrument people play these games because they can't play a real instrument so they play a GAME that imitates it and it is FUN so why are you raging on people who just want to have FUN PLAYING GAMES to be honest I wouldn't waste my money on over priced guitar controller I would just buy a regular guitar controller cause it is the same thing
get ready...here it comes..... $300 for a guitar controller. for $200 you can buy a low quality Fender Squire Stratocaster or... for $400 you can buy a mid quality Fender Start thats made in mexico. fyi those are REAL guitars that i listed above
exactly, just 1 E string with the right tension. It would have to be done right, but if it was it would be sweet, and could teach others. Plus I think I'd do better at the game with that. Still I do have fun with some RB2 as well
@-Nintendude-
Yeah, they would have to think of something to fix a broken, or loosened string. If the design is right, they could cheaply clamp it in place and make it fairly sturdy and easily replaceable. They could sell it with a pack of strings, but however they would do it, it would have to be done right.
Uesugi-dono is 100% right. Mad catz is absolute garbage. Long time ago I bought a PS1 controller from them cuz it was cheaper. And it broke within a month. When it comes to electronics, I always get the top of the line gear. For my PS3, I ONLY get Sony controllers. quality > price
Exactly. I really don't see why people just can't buy a real guitar and be done with it, you'll get more milage out of such an activity; might actually even lead to a different course of life.
To MrJack3690, a model with realistic strumming with a pick would be something I could pay more if it would be done well. Then again there would be some new tuning stuff with the real string, what if it snaps off or loosens up?
From left to right, we've got the Wireless Fender Precision Bass Replica ($95), Wooden Stratocaster Replica($300), and the Telecaster ($110). Nestled between two of the guitars is the Electro-Harmonix Rock Band 2 Overdrive Pedal ($30).
All the guitars are quite different from each other, while the Overdrive Pedal is simply in its own category. Read on for in depth looks at all of them.
