Lost Planet 2 is set to throw you back into the complicated world of E.D.N. III, which was a frozen, inhospitable place in the original Lost Planet. The good news is that E.D.N. III is considerably warmer, with tropical areas and lush jungles sprouting up to replace the icy locales seen in the last game. The bad news is that the Akrid--large alien creatures that are native to the world and that don't appreciate humans being around--are still there and still pretty irritable. In fact, they seem to be in an even worse mood than in the last game, as evidenced by the bosses we've seen so far. Capcom recently sent us some screens of three of the bosses in the game--Akrid X, Gordiant, and Red Eye--as well as some information, which will give you some insight into what to expect from the massive critters that will try to stomp you and your friends to death in the game.

    @Leori_7
    That's what I told my friends. It's like Monster Hunter, just with guns.

    Hm. Not sure if I'll have time/funds for this one... could be fun, though.

    This should be interesting, first one looked pretty amazing in snow, hope they keep it similar looking or even better now being on a warmer "tropical" place.

    When I knew Lost Planet 2 was coming soon, I thought it was going to be just another medium shooter like many others, because of the not very good notes and ranks of the first one, speacially the PS3 version, full of glitches and bugs.

    But then I played the demo and I loved it! I pass more time playing it than my complete games . CAPCOM made an awesome work this time (again).
    Right now, my MUST have games are Uncharted 2, GoW 3, GT5 and this one

    This game should be amazing specially if they took the thermal thing out, that was annoying, like being poisoned 24/7.

    For those who don't know. There's two demos available right now. A Boss fight against the G-Type Salamander on XBox 360, and a campaign mission follows by the Akrid Boss fight on PS3.

    If you're on the fence, download either and try it only (assuming your connections good) it should be a blast. Capcom seems to have outdone themselves, and they are currently working to implement splitscreen, although that's iffy, given the visual quality here.

    The first one was really fun and has classic boss fights can't wait for the second one with better enhancements and more modes... maybe!

    Looks awesome I hope they don't dumb down the boss AI and challenge like they did with Devil May Cry 4 :/ The original Lost Planet had one of the best and hardest boss battles on Extreme mode. I can remember it took me hours to take the very first boss without an VS out or this one tank-VS on the roof was overkill not to mention Isenbergs VS >_
