The Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas hosted this year's Evo Championship Series in the Pavilion Ballroom. The event pulled in more than 2,400 participants and rougly double that and more in spectators. This year's crowds were a far cry from the fighting game tournament's humble beginnings in 1998 when the first tournament was just a small gathering in an arcade.
