Sony’s upcoming 3D display sets itself apart from the pack by allowing you to play split-screen games using the full screen (in 2D) for both players while wearing the 3D glasses. A simple press of the button at the top of the glasses switches between first and second player views. The company had a demo running on the show floor and it looked fantastic.

The 3D glasses use lithium ion batteries that last for thirty hours and take three hours to recharge.

Sony will bundle the 3D display with a set of 3D glasses and a copy of Resistance 3.

The official PlayStation 3 Wireless Stereo Headset features virtual 7.1 surround, a circumaural design, built-on rechargeable batteries, and a retractable microphone.
