Comic-Con: The Video Game Way

Resident Evil 5

Comic-Con is just a few days away, so as a public service, we thought it would be a great idea to reveal how video games can teach everyone attending the show how to act in a (mostly) safe and effective way to get the most out of the Comic-Con experience.

It's no secret that a lot of people attend Comic-Con. It's also no secret that when you get that many people crammed into a confined space, things tend to get a little cozy. Thankfully, Resident Evil 5 (and just about every Resident Evil before it) prepared us for this very scenario. Much like the zombies in Resident Evil, the crowds at Comic-Con tend to bunch up and plod their way through the convention center and its hallways, only to exhibit short bursts of speed when they see something delicious. We know it's best to generally avoid these groups at all costs, but if we ever have to absolutely engage them, there's one rule to follow: Don't ever get caught in a corner. Escape in this situation is nearly impossible, unless you have a shotgun. But we're pretty sure they don't allow those at the San Diego Convention Center, and murder is usually frowned upon.

Back to Comic-Con!

I giggled a little inside when I read the Resident Evil "video game way" section. It's so true about not getting caught up in a corner. Metaphorically speaking, the people there are like zombies, except that they're not after you, they're after all the comic-con goodies and sometimes - babe booths.

This is a pretty poor article, considering you draw a parallel between comic-con attendees and zombies no less than 4 times and then release yourself from responsibility after advocating violence in every frame by saying "...just kidding, hahaha"

"Thankfully, Resident Evil 5 (and just about every Resident Evil before it) prepared us for this very scenario." I disagree with that statement. There were never that many Zombies on screen at one time in the classic RE games.

Oh man its gonna be crazy at comic-con, but I'm not going cause there wasn't anything I was interested in this year. The exhibit does make you get cozy with people but I was just at a concert at San Diego's House of Blues last night and for that you really do need a shotgun.
