An incredible narrative first, a great game second.

If you pick up one game from the bargain racks or see this game on sale, BUY IT. Support this type of game design and narrative.

Once I picked this game up I couldn't put it down. Its the first example I can think of (in modern gaming) that actually emphasizes the story narrative OVER the gameplay and actually uses the gameplay to drive that narrative home.

At the surface its a 3rd person shooter. That's it. That's all there is to it. The controls are fine. They mechanics work. The graphics are very well done.

As you sink deeper into the game you are drawn into a nightmare scenario in Dubai that has you chasing and shooting other American soldiers.

The game starts up like a classic war shooter and then smacks you in the face and actually makes you feel sick for playing a game the way you are. It makes you question everything about main character and the way you view yourself as a hero.

Go. Buy. This. Game. Stop reading this and give these developers what they deserve.

(Don't worry about the multiplayer. It was tacked on for no reason. Even the original developers didn't want it to be included. There is no point to the multiplayer at all.)
