Couldn't all possums be like this?

User Rating: 9.5 | Sparkster SNES
After playing R.K.D. on the Sega Genesis, It was so much FUN I HAD to play Sparkster (its sequel) but boy was that a big disappointment. Later finding out that the SNES had a Sparkster game of its own. I decided to give Sparkster another chance and man, did Konami do an awesome job on this version. Its like Konami was trying to make the Sega version suck lol, Here's my review on Sparkster for the SNES.

Now what happens when you see a possum with an armor, jet-pack and holding a sword? you get Rocket Knight Adventure, as for this game, Sparkster (The sequel).
After playing this game last year, all I could say was WOW. I mean it had everything, a Good story line, great Gameplay, AWESOME soundtrack and a very colorful look. Its like Mario and Link combined.

Sound: Konami pushing the SNES's sound chip to the max, The music was very well done with its drum and guitar sounds, It really got you into the game's stages and Bosses - 5.5

Gameplay: I found them perfect and smooth, sure sometimes when you press the L or R button to much you would get stuck with the falling possum sprites, but worth it. 5.5

Story: it was alright I guess, the usual Princess gets captured by bad guy and hero trying to save her. Not bad but this plot was slowly starting get plain, but at least she wasn't stuck in the same place as she kept getting move somewhere else, but it alright for its time. 4/5

Graphics: how can I say this, back then these graphics were like the Wii/Xbox/PS3 ones back then (STUNNING) 5/5

Difficulty: you got from Easy to CRAZY HARD! mode. So the game did give you lots of challenges, so with a little practice you would get the hand of it soon. 5/5

Above all, its a GREAT game, it gives you that exciting feeling that games like Contra 3 or Mega Man X gave you when you played them for the first time. I Strongly recommend it to retro gamers out there and a MUST HAVE for SNES collectors.
