This is one of the greatest space shooters on the SNES, or for any video game system for that matter. Unfortunately, it is also one of the least known (as I write this, no player reviews, no screenshots, only in 57 collections). The game is typical in many ways, it's an overhead up scrolling space shooter. Being typical is where it shines though, because the formula it uses is that of classic space-shooting fun-as-hell action. This game has many items and powerups, 10-levels, and a very deep option mode that lets you choose from a lot of different kind of difficulties, instead of just easy to hard. This game is very challenging though, and only someone with some serious old-school skills will be able to best its challenges. The graphics and music are wonderful, pushing the SNES to its limits graphic wise (utilizing all its Mode 7 effects), and wonderful tunes that you'll want to hum.
This is a rare game though, as the US version only went through one printing, then was discontinued. I was lucky enough to get mine on eBay for $60 a few years ago, I can't even imagine what it's going for now. If you can get your hands on this one, do so, because you won't be dissapointed.
