Obviously i am a hardcore 40k fan and i have been waiting a lifetime for a game like this. We havent seen such quality ever since the space marine. And with THQ down, our chances for smth like that were slim. I play the TT, played almost every 40k videogame there is and always favor strategy games over action games and action games over fps.But this one right here capture the essence of 40k as no other game ever did! Just one look at any screenshot would a couple of pages on a novelle to describe the ammount of details it has. And everything is so grand and epic, yet mostly the attention on fine details is what drives me crazy, those little things most games would just skip... The setting is amazing, as we are in a spacehulk, we cant experiences various inviroments(mostly spaceships interiors) from narrow corridors to larger than life chambers! And everything is crafted with so much love and respect for the lore! The lore is virtually endless after so many decades of brainstorming from so many great minds and this games oozes of authenticity like noone else. (Apart from some minor details like some genestealer strains and weapon modes) The graphics are amazing, they finally got the scale of things noone else did, the animations are buttersmooth (i have an i5 plus a gtx 1070) the sound so atmospheric, the voices so convincing. This is the kind of game for the real 40k fans out there. This game depicts the epitome of 40k lore. It still has some bugs though, but obviously when they will be all ironed out, you can already be sure that the core of a masterpiece is there! Although i love the artwork, the grainy effect of helmet vision sometimes feels that blurs a clear view and contributes to graphical degradation, this is the only thing that wont be fixed, because this is their artistic approach. Most of the bugs i encountered are not gamebraking and even the gravest ones can be fixed with a quick restart, that normally shouldnt be a biggie, yet the lack of a quicksave does an impact. But i guess this is a sideffect of being multiplat, hopefully they will add quicksave on pc. My last grudge is the fact that i couldnt find it retail. This is a game to remember and take pride with as 40k, hopefully on consoles there will be a collector's option to make justice of this epic game!
