Bewildering addition to the gaming world.

South Park was a title I and several other children who watched things on television no 10 year old should ever watch were keen to get our hands on and try. The promise of poop jokes and obscenities (as we were largely unable to understand the more grown-up humor) was enticing, but the experience was wholly disappointing. The first-person shooter genre was an interesting choice, and they did some amusing things with it. Unfortunately, peeing on a snowball to add to its damage effect was the best thing they could come up with.
The play mechanics were adequate, but the game itself was just a mystery to me. The mystery being: why was it ever made? 3 Dimensional cartoon characters do not capture the charm of the construction paper cut outs of the show, and the game had little to none of the wit packed into each episode. Was it really necessary to bring South Park to this medium? All in all, this felt like an uninspired cash-in.
