Going Back to South Park

User Rating: 8 | South Park: The Stick of Truth X360

After a long wait, South Park: The Stick of Truth has been released to the masses craving to go on a journey of fun misadventures with the kids from a small mountain town in Colorado. Any gamer who's also a fan of South Park will feel as if they were abducted by aliens and sucked into the TV Series that so many of us have been laughing, quoting, and having a special place in our twisted hearts for since the late 90's.

Of all the South Park games I've played over the years; including the First Person N64 game that many of us wish to forget, this is the closest any of us are going to have at hanging out with Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Butters, and the rest of the townsfolk. South Park: The Stick of Truth is a fun marriage between Open World gaming and RPG that's set after the events of the Black Friday trilogy in Season 17.

The plot, story, characters, and jokes are all spot on; South Park: Stick of Truth feels more like an interactive movie than just another episode from the series, since Matt Stone and Trey Parker don't have the FCC as well as The Knights of Standards and Practices holding them back. However, the fart tutorials and various QTE throughout the game can prove to be very frustrating at times and might send you into a mad full-on Cartman gamer rage fest. Fortunately, South Park: Stick of Truth gets almost everything else right and is highly recommended for all fans of the infamous Comedy Central series, and yes; your gonna have yourself a time with this game.
