Yet another incredibly bad South Park comes along to throw the TV series into even more gaming infamy...

User Rating: 2.3 | South Park: Chef's Luv Shack N64
South Park is one of the funniest TV shows that the world has had the luck to see. The great licence has so many game spin-offs you could be blinded into buying one. But don't. Unless you feel like wasting money. The simple fact, as with all the South Park games, is that all of the games suck. When I switched my friend's N64 on with South Park: Chef's Luv Shack game pak in it, I was expecting a whole heap of junk. Is that what I found? Yes. The objective of the game is simple. Choose your character out of the 4 originals. Answer 2 - 8 questions. Play a couple of NES "classic" rip-offs. And then it's done. The fact that this game can be "completed" in about half an hour is just absolutely ridiculous. When you beat the game, you don't unlock anything. After a couple of play-throughs you realise there isn't even a system for saving your point tallies. Seriously, in a game made in this day and age, the lack of these features is pathetic to say the least. The questions in Chef's Luv Shack aren't even the slightest bit humourous. I don't know about you, but I don't study the scientific name for getting blue balls, folks! So, it's mostly hit and miss with the answer. There isn't a single question about South Park to be found. Stupid. The mini-games aren't fun either. What's so fun about probing Cartman? Or being shot down by lightning when trying to land on a target? Or gathering snow and chucking snowballs? It's just so pointless. And when I realised there is no way to save your score, I nearly threw the pad down in disbelief. All that, for nothing? But I persevered. The comments aren't funny. They don't make sense either. Cartman says, "I'll get you! You stole my points!" only for Stan to reply, "I like trains too!". I mean, it's just so random that it actually wears you down. OVERVIEW --------------- GRAPHICS - Barely passable. The only reason they get a 3 is because of the fact the characters look okay. The mini-games and hostessess are just a blur of colour. I give it a 3. GAMEPLAY - It's depressing. There is no gameplay. Answer 8 strang questions, play a couple of pointless and horrible mini-games. Repeat. I give it a 2. SOUND - The comments are stupid, and the characters don't even respond to each other properly. It actually makes you cringe with embarrasment. I give it a 2. VALUE - You'll want to kill yourself if you pay any more than $1 for this heap of junk. I give it a 1 OVERALL - This is a horrible game. Stay away at all costs, even all you South Park masochists. I give it 2.3. This game truly is terrible.
