Welcome back to the stage of history....for the 4th time
Story:7.0-Now it's not that the story's bad,it's just confusing.I'm gonna say it the best I can.A long time ago, in a galaxy far,far away...wait wrong story.Anyways,see there was King dude named Algol,he created Soul Edge,the evil sword, and was the only one who can't be corrupted by it,unfortunately his son liked the sword,and wanted to take it for himself,his Dad kills him and creates Soul Calibur,the good sword.Now Algol wants to be ressurected and means business.In other news Siegfried and Nightmare wanna beat the crap out of eachother and everyone else is doing other stuff.
Gameplay:11-that's right, 11!Not only is it the already badass weapon combat the series is known for,bad they added 3 new things to the mix,Armor,online, and the Soul Gauge.No longer will you just block until the opponent does a strong attack,now there will be punishment.When you block alot your armor will break,by that I mean Kilik could say goodbye to his sleeves.And there's the soul gauge,it's simple attack alot,the gauge increases,block alot,it'll go down.but when it goes to the top and the opponent is at the bottom with broken armor,you can pull off the critical finish,wanna see Maxi pull off a Falcon Kick?be happy.Oh yeah and online's cool too.
Presentation:8.5-The game's confusing storylack of new characters (there's only Hilde and Algol minus the bonus characters)crappy bonus characters kinda ruining the expierence.But there is also the Tower of Lost Souls mode,where you go through 60 floors of enemies,each set is like a mini survival mode.As for characters,you still favorites like the badass Mitsurugi,the rapier rapist Raphael,The hippie Talim,Elvis/Bruce Lee fan Maxi,Siegfried and his Siegfried-ness,and Nightmare who you'll still wanna punch in the balls.
Sound:9.0-music is still awesome,voice acting is cool for people like Maxi,Tira,or Raphael and stupid for people like Yoshimitsu.
Graphics:10-Even now in 2011,I still consider it one of the best graphics on PS3.
There is no real difference between the 2 versions of the game other than the special guests,Yoda for 360,Darth Vader for PS3,if you had the choice I'd go with Vader because well Yoda is....BROKEN!

-Online is near lag free
-Tower of Lost Souls is awesome

-Long load times
