Soul Calibur 3 is an great fighting game. good replay value, great characters should keep you hooked for long.

Game Play:
In terms of game play SC3 has improved a lot. good number of characters and also some new ones as well. for example Maxi, a character, who wields nun chucks, he's my favorite character at the moment. Setsuka is an new character and she wields a katana. Every character has their own moves, which is very cool. In game play side there are new modes such as Chornicles Of The Sword, which is a strategy based game play and is quite fun and could be frustrating as well. World Tournament is also fun in terms of money making. you enter a tournament, complete a stage and win gold for it. for gold you can buy additional items for your custom character, which an be created in create a character mode. If you have all the extra goodies unlocked, create a character will be quite fun. You can use your custom he or she in Chornicles Of The Sword or in VS battle, which is Soul Calibur's classic fighting mode. In the Story Mode you go through each characters story like one fight at the time until when you reach the big boss and complete story. There is also lots of replay value if you want everything unlocked.
Graphics:
In terms of visual side SC3 is quite good. very good blooming and lighting effects in terms of playstation 2. Characters are very well designed and level of detail is just amazing.
Story:
I'm not gonna explain much. just play through with the main main characters and you find out their fate with the Soul Edge.
Sound:
Sound side in the game is good. good voice overs, hack and slash sounds are great.
Overall:
SC3 is a good game and an very entertaining one. the replay value of the game should keep you hooked for long time. It's good as all the other fighting games out there. Try it or buy it, it's an great experience overall.
