Soul Calibur 3 is a great improvement to Soul Calibur 2. Anyone who liked Soul Calibur 2 should love Soul Calibur 3.

Soul Calibur 3 is an above average fighting game that will please fans of this series. It continues the same storyline of many warriors having a bitter war over the ultimate sword. The gameplay in Soul Calibur 3 is simialer to it's predecessor but with a few different touches which have improved it. Though the gameplay has been improved' this isn't the greatest improvement made between the games. The tales of the sword lets you choose any of the selectable characters and play through their brief storyline. Everyone has 2 endings unlike in Soul calibur 2. In Soul Calibur 2 the endings were just pictures with words below them but now the endings are actual cutscenes with voices. The chronices of the sword mode allows you to make your own character and play as them through a strategy like game. The goal of each level is to destory your enemies base. You can also make your own characters aside from the Chronicles of the sword mode. You can make your character a male or a female. Their are 13 selectable types of characters you can make. Some of these include Knight' barbarian' monk' and samurai. Every class has 3 different weapon types which you can pick before a battle and change them later The character creator gives you a great selection of options to make your character look how you want thewm to. Most of the things for your created character have to be unlocked. You can fit up to 8 created characters saved on your memory card. The versus mode allows you to battle a friend with either one of the games characters or your created characters. Their are some new characters in Soul Calibur 3 that weren't in Soul Calibur 2. Their are many unlockables in Soul Calibur 3 and many things to do to keep you going for a while. Anyways if you love this series and want to try out more of the series try this sequel.
