This is the best SC game I've ever played! Top notch classic.

User Rating: 9 | SoulCalibur III PS2
Soul Calibur III is the best sequel to SC 1 & 2, and why? Because of the characters, the modes, and the gameplay. It's been a long while since I'd played the first. About the second, I didn't feel too excited about it, since it had Heihachi on the PS2 version. I would've rather play it with Spawn on the Xbox, but I''m not much of a Microsoft fan.

The saga continues with three new combatants: Zasalamel (the black man with the scythe), Setsuka (a woman in a geisha), and Tira (a crazy, yet bizarre assassin). Out of the three, I like Zasalamel & Setsuka more than Tira. I won't forget about my all-time favorites: Siegfried, Nightmare, Taki, Mitsurugi, Kilik, and Xianghua. First off, the story mode "Tales of Souls" is where you fight against opponents on a journey to find the two swords: Soul Edge (the dark sword), & Soul Calibur (the light sword). Additionally, the brand new mode "Chronicles of the Sword" is a strategical adventure mode where you create your main character to lead his army against several empires in 20 different chapters. (That was the best mode I'd played, but it can be challenging.) And last, but not least, the "Custom Character Edit" mode. You can also create a character to play in Arcade, Mission, or Training modes. It's not exactly the best improvement, but it's fun to do what you want with it.

I almost forgot the Museum mode. You can go on there to look at arts, view fights in Battle Theater, exhibitions, or profiles. Personally, I like Battle Theater because I can scout almost every character and how they fight. It's too bad they don't have online on there.

Soul Calibur III is not everything you would except it to be, but it's nowhere close to being "less of a fighting game." If you've played Soul Calibur before, you might want to try this one out. Man, I can't wait for 'Soul Calibur IV' to come out next July. I'll be 19 on the 24th of that month.
