A great old-school fighter, plays like Street fighter except better--it has weapons! Plus, its got hot chicks ^_^

I have to say, soul calibur 2 is the greatest so far because its not too simple at all (all the button combinations and stuff), and it is not too complicated like Soul calibur 3 and 4. plus, you gotta love gamecube. as for the characters, theyre all balanced insanely well. theyres no crap-characters, and no unstoppable ones either(except raphael). for each person, theyres at least one that can beat them. Berserker may seem like an invincible meat-hunk, but get up close to him with a short-range character, and he'll be tooslow to stop you. Everything has its weaknesses. next, I will discuss the gameplay. every button is put to use, which is amazing, considering that street fighter used to be Kick, Block, Punch, and a joystick. now, A is light weapon attacks, X is kicks and kick combos, Y is more powerful weapon attacks, B blocks, and the joystick moves. and all of the button combinations, if used correctly, can be utterly destructive. all this and more makes Soul calibur II a perfect beat-em up platformer game
