Sonic Unleashed, is a straight out a fun platforming game.
DAYTIME LEVELS: In the Daytime levels, you do classic 2D and 3D (or a mix of 2.5D) that are SUPER speady. The level design for the daytime levels are finomonal, and are without a doubt, the best parts of this game.
NIGHTTIME LEVELS: The nighttime levels are underrated in my opinion. The big problem with the nighttime levels, is that the fighting is dull. I can understand if you think the battling is boring, because after a long while I feel this too. I don't think the nighttime levels are bad, but they're just not the right fit for a sonic game.
CONTROLS: The controls overall are great. They allow you to use wither the Classic Controller, the Wii Remote Nunchuck Combo, and the GameCube controller. I always use the GameCube controller, but that's just my preference. The controls for the daytime levels are very simple, and easy to pick up and play. The controls for the nighttime levels are a little more complex, but still not too bad. Throughout the game you will learn more ways to control in the game, so it helps make the levels more fun.
GRAPHICS: The graphics are excellent for the Wii's non HD 480p graphical resoultion. They're especially superior in the intro of the game. The excellent graphics help make the level designs better.
Overall I think Sonic Unleashed is a great game. I would give the nighttime levels a seven out of ten, even though they are good, other than the graphics, nothing totally sparks out amazing in the nighttime levels. The great graphics, controls, and daytime levels, make up for the somewhat good/alright nighttime levels.
