Better than it is given credit for, both Sonic and Werehog levels are enjoyable.

User Rating: 9 | Sonic Unleashed PS3
I'll start by reviewing each section seperately.

Sonic the Hedgehog levels (Daytime)

The Good:
Fast Paced Gameplay
Incredible graphics
Addictive
Fast paced battling
Good controls
Simple controls
Stat upgrades

In the Gamespot review, it states that the controls are loose. Don't believe it, they aren't perfect, but are good enough to control Sonic with ease. Practicing Drifting counters the problem, and if done properly saves lots of time.

The Bad:
Occasionally the camera gets in the way (Barely)
Controls are fast paced, which makes it hard to move slightly

Probably the main problem is on the parts where you need to jump from platform to platform, and moving the analog stick makes sonic move too quickly, and you plummet to your doom. Luckily this doesn't happen too often.

Sonic the Werehog

The Good:
Plenty of combo's to unlock
Stat upgrades
Good platformer
Not too difficult
Simple controls
Responsive controls

The Bad:
Enemies are the same pretty much throughout
Shield doesn't always work
Jumping from pillar to pillar takes time
May get boring to some fast
Tough enemies can deal a lot of damage in one hit

The werehog stages are extremely fun in my opinion, as I enjoy fighting enemies in fantasy style gameplay. Some combos are tricky to perform though, and the basic ones are probably the best combos.

On the whole, Sonic Unleashed is a fantastic game, with superb graphics, and generally simple gameplay for newcomers, but also fun for veterans.
The variety of collectibles are fun to get, i.e Sun and Moon medals are hidden throughout stages, towns and entrance stages, and are required to get through the game.

To conclude, I would strongly reccomend this game to any PS3/Xbox360 owner, and even to Wii owners even though the game is noticably different.
