So despite Nintendo ruled the market around the time, the company Sega still decided to try get some genesis/mega drive´s sold. How to do that? Making one of the hugest icon´s EVER! Ladies and gentleman meet Sonic the hedgehog!
So today we all know Sonic. So i don´t need to talk more about back-story, just about his first game.

So how there his first game, you may ask? It was fast, fun, there was a lot of platforming too...
Story
The story is easy like most other games back in the day, it wasn´t that big of a deal. Doctor Robotnik/Eggman, have kidnapped poor cute animals and turned them into robots. It is now up to Sonic to destroy the robots, some capsules with them in, and save the day. Gameplay
Sonic 1 is a platformer so of curse you can run and jump, but you can also spin into enemies by running and pressing down. Jumping on an enemy or spinning into them kills them. Review
You have 6 zones (7 if included the final boss zone), 3 acts to travel in each of these zones, and a boss fight at the end of the 3rd act. Some zones allow serious speed, and some allow you slowing down to do platforming.

Your have lifes at the bottom of the screen like mostly other platformers, but instead of eating a mushroom and grow, sonic collects rings, if you have rings on you can get hit without dying. You can even collect some of the rings you lost. Gain 100 rings for an extra life, or have 50 at the end a act, (you cant do it in act 3) jump into the giant ring at the end, and... boom... you are in a special stage. Now you guide sonic around, avoiding goal blocks, and hitting the chaos emerald at the end. The good
*Great controls *Fun platforming *Great replay value *Good stage design *Good music The bad
*Some zones are a bit too slow.
