Sonic The Hedgehog was the very first Sonic game, released in 1991 for the Genesis/Mega Drive, it became a huge success wich would spawn alot of games, spin-offs, cartoons, comics, etc. This game is now released on Xbox Live Arcade, and it's still as fun as ever and a must have by any gamer that has the pride of being one. The story is simple, you are a blue hedgehog named Sonic, and you must stop Eggman (or Robotnick) from conquering the world. You do this trough 6 Zones, and a Final Zone with the last boss, you will go from lush green forests to lava temples, from labyrinths of water to flaming bases, etc. To get the best ending, you also need to collect the 6 Chaos Emeralds, these are hidden in the Special Stages wich can be acessed if you have 50 rings at the end of each act. The new things added to the game are simply the achievements and leaderboards.
Overall, Sonic The Hedgehog is still the great game it always was, and it's a must have for those who have yet to play this, or just feel nostalgic.
