the game gear was a handheld system made to compete with the gameboy. many sonic titles were released within the console's lifespan. the best game gear game I have played so far has to be sonic chaos


the good-
runs fast
great graphics and music
speed boost has been added
great controls
challenge

the bad-
only sonic can get chaos emeralds
tails is slower than sonic

the story is the same as every other sonic game, get chaos emeralds from a mad scientist. for 8-bit, the graphics are colorful, they're pretty good, as is the music.

there are 2 playable characters. if you play as sonic, you will have a great time. he is extremely fast, yet easy to control. the 1 and 2 buttons jump, and if you hold up or down the hit 1 or 2, you will either spin dash (down) or boost (up). there are not many flaws.

tails is slower than sonic, but still fun to play as, pressing up and the 1 or 2 button will now fly or swim. one negative is that he cannot get chaos emeralds.

overall, this is my favorite game on the game gear. I highly recommend it.
