Old school Sonic at it's best.

First off to all those noob fans who I picked on for liking crap games like Shadow or Next Gen. All is forgiven because I'd rather listen to your whines about how this game sucks because Shadow isn't in it and it doesn't... Read Full Review

Just plain boring and dissapointing. Specially the levels.

I know a lot of people are complaining about the controls. Yes they are a bit weird, not exactly the same as on mega drive but for me they were ok, not a big deal. What really kills me is that this game tries to main... Read Full Review

Its been a long time in the making, and for the most part very much worth the wait.

Sonic has had a rather bad time of it since the change to 3D in games. Most of the efforts suffered from shoddy camera work and controls and for the most part just didn't work. Sega is hoping to put these mistakes behind... Read Full Review

    Sonic's back with a BANG!!

When I found out that Project Needlemouse turned into this, I was instantly craving this game. Now that I own it, I have to say that it was one of the best $15 I've ever spent. Story: This game takes place right after... Read Full Review

Fans of the series finally get what they want: less flash, better gameplay.

Like many, I grew up on Sonic games. Genesis was my first 16-bit system and Sonic was my first game. And for a while, it was good. Each successive sequel was better than the one before, adding more to it, improving the g... Read Full Review

    Sonic is dead

Paying 15$ for a sonic game might not be so bad, even despite its short length; after all, Sonic 3 was quite short too. The low price tag is especially welcoming for parents who played the old Sonic on Genesis, and want ... Read Full Review

Just stick with the graphic improvements, leave mechanics alone!

SEGA!!! Cool you finally do something right and offer a redo of the 2d era!! I love me some Sonic just like everyone else, well maybe a little more. But what I have to say about this comes from the heart. I didn't play a... Read Full Review

    Great game

Its hard to believe gamespot gave this such a poor review! It seems they stuck the score on the fact that you have to get extra lives by playing the same board over and over, but I cant help thinking if you were better ... Read Full Review

Something about this game just ain't right!

After losing about 25 lives on Casino Street Zone 3, I'm about finished with this game. I'm not sure why SEGA and the Sonic Team decided that players loved this type of zone from the old games; as a kid, I always HATED ... Read Full Review

Terrible physics a Sonic game does not make.

I wish that I could say that Sonic 4 was a valiant effort. However, I cannot. The game is simply sloppily made. The game made the surprising achievement of being some of the worst Sonic physics I've had the displeasure o... Read Full Review

Don't let nitpicking reviewers steer you away from this faithful and fun sequel.

People expecting Sonic 4 to be an amazing feat of gaming clearly have this series confused with something else. It won't blow you away with innovations, but for those of you who grew up with Sonic on your SEGA Genesis wi... Read Full Review
