You play as Sonic and friends to try to beat Dr.Eggman. You race on boards that shoot air out at the bottom causing it to hover. While racing you can use air boost which make you go faster, also can be done by doing tricks between ramps, or if you use the characters element power. The element powers is a characters special abilities like some characters can hit cars and other immovable objects, speed characters can grind, and air characters can fly in mid air, all of these moves will make a shortcut for you and give you extra speed boost. The campaign can become very difficult at times because the A.I. can be know the course better than you do giving them a huge advantage. You start with the main characters, but after a few hours of playing you will unlock more. There are many bonus stuff to do like time trail, grand cup, and even multiplayer. You can also attack other players if you use your speed boost on them and upgrade it by collecting ring. Rings can be used to by more gear. This game is fun, but does get boring and feels unrewarding.
