Great compiliation of Sonic games with only the Game Gear games as a mess-up!
When Mega Collection was released, Some fans were disappointed! But now every fan can experience Sonic CD (considered best game in the world by Sonic fans). The graphics were pretty much the same as they were, just a bit sharper, but nothing to be amazed of when talking of today! The sounds were great compared to the graphics, especially the sounds on the menu screens! Who couldnt use a museum full of classic pictures and sounds (Including Sonic boom)? Most games were great, others were nothing to waste time on! The actual Gems were the console games, the rest were glass found from rock bottom.
Sonic CD:The Best Sonic game ever to most fans! It was pretty decent as it's pretty much just as exciting as its initial release. You must experience this for yourself, too good to describe.
Sonic Fighters:This game is Sonic's first (not to mention ONLY!) fighting game. This was perhaps a great game on the arcade and the game finally comes home with you (Because its only on the arcade!). The graphics are best of the arcade (Rings flying everywhere, people getting flat, cartoony feel!). Very addictive on it's VS mode, just the same thing as any arcade mode that I've played over and over again. But if only you could unlock Metal Sonic.
Sonic R: Good racer, I liked it! Its a Mario Kart 64, except Sonic on foot (except Amy and Dr.Robotnik). There's even a Rainbow road inspired track and plenty of unlockable characters that take only an hour to unlock it's good if you want a party racer, but Sonic Riders is much better if you want a serious racer.
Game Gear:SEGA kind of had a bad idea to put these in here, but they wanted you to experience the handheld world of Sonic. The only games worth playing are Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic 2, and Sonic Drift 2 with a friend. The rest belong in rock bottom to be played only once.
Vectorman 1 + 2: These were great platformers and had great fun involved in them, with cool level design. For some reason, these games belong here.
Closing comments: The Game Gear games were the only mess-up! Sonic CD was the game that was worth playing the most simply because its the best Sonic game providing the classic platforming from the games. The game, Sonic R was simply a nice party racer and is still fun to play at a party. Sonic Fighters is an addicting fighter that is hard to put down. The better games (Like Vectorman) mentioned above added to the addiction, once you start playing these games, you'll never stop!
