I cannot believe that Bioware was the company that made this RPG. The same people responsible for Mass Effect, Star Wars KOTOR, and Baldur's Gate made this abomination. What a mess.
Where do I begin? First off, the music. Sonic games are always known for their amazing music, but apparently Bioware didn't get the memo. A lot of it sounds like it was made for an Atari 2600 or NES. Second, the story, I can sum it up in a few words, "Sonic stops the bad guys, then plot twist!" Third, the battle system, RPGs always have a margin of error when it comes to the battle system. You don't have to be perfect when executing attacks or healing yourself. You might do 5 damage instead of 6 damage if you don't do the timed hits perfectly. But not this game, if you screw up once when trying to restore your mana (POW energy in this game), you fail and basically give the enemies free hits to maul your character. Fourth, the presentation. I've seen better cutscenes in Flash animations. When there are cutscenes, they are in comic book like panels, with horrible looking effects. The 3D in-game character models also look horrendous, they look like they were made by someone who forgot to put on their glasses, they are that low-res and blocky.
Avoid this game at all costs. This is the first time I've given a game the lowest possible score ever, and I doubt it will be the last.
