Sonic Blast is, by far, the best sonic game on the game gear.

Sonic Blast is another Game gear game that I have only played within the sonic mega collection for the ps2. It is the most addictive and fun game out of all the game gear games, and it's graphics are pretty good for its time. You can play as either sonic or knuckles(personally, I like Knuckles best because he has a climb ability) in levels which are almost as good as those as the original megadrive sonic game.(Yes, it's megadrive ya yanks). The levels range from the desert to lava-filled caves, and you'll likely play it for hours on end.

The Good:
-Loads of fun levels to play as either sonic or knuckles
-You can now climb trees(a power I've looked for in sonic for ages!)
-Graphics are quite good, especially for the time it was made
-Boss levels are very fun to play
-Highly addictive, side-scroling gameplay

The Bad:
-The game gear couldn't hold as much content as other consoles of it's time
-The first 10 levels or so are pretty easy to breeze through.

Overall, Sonic Blast is, by far, the best sonic game on the game gear.It combines some solid platforming with two great playable characters and highly fun boss levels.
