The best Sonic game ever? Yeah I reckon so.

Quite simply this game is amazing. The graphics are brilliant considering the technology and on some levels (Lava Reef, Death Egg) Its easy to wonder how they pulled it off.
The music in this game is also great, One or two sound a bit bad but the levels are so good it doesn't matter to be completely honest.
The main issue with this game is that because of the Lock-On technology you have to buy Sonic 3 to buy the full S3&K experience but unlike Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles feels like a full game on its own. A final small issue was that Tails everybodys favourite two-tailed fox was taken out of the game.
You can expect to spend at least a good few hours completing the main game but after that you have Chaos Emeralds to collect and a whole new character to play as, The good thing with Knuckles being he breaks into new pathways so the levels can feel a bit different when playing through with either character, But you can come back to this game again and again and again, I know - I'm still doing it!
Its a shame there's a few small niggling things in the background that can be annoying but it all washes over me personally. Even 13 years after its original release, Sonic and Knuckles is probably the best game I have ever played.
