The graphics, music, gameplay, and difficulty remain as solid and as cool as ever on Wii Virtual Console! :idea:

Nine times out of ten, ANY "Sonic" based game that's based on the traditional run and explore concept first explored in the original Genesis trilogy of "Sonic the Hedgehog" (which includes, "Sonic and Knuckles") is going to be MILES better than any 3D outing that Sonic attempts! :roll: The other one time is "Sonic Adventure Deluxe: Director's Cut" on the Nintendo Gamecube which actually did a GOOD job of placing Sonic in the third dimension. In any case, "Sonic and Knuckles" (especially when coupled with "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" which is possible by owning both games on the Wii Virtual Console; AND pushing the Gamecube Controller's Z button) allows any player to play the complete, lock-on experience of playing the two games of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" plus "Sonic and Knuckles" together! :idea: The action is fast-paced, fun, and frantic, with three different ways to play the game, either with Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, and Sonic the Hedgehog with Tails, the areas you can access, the power-ups you collect, and the secrets you find differ based on which character choice you picked. Any way the game is sliced, the enjoyment will last a long time for anybody who enjoys playing old-school the "Sonic the Hedgehog" way! :D I enjoyed "Sonic and Knuckles," and I highly recommend it for fans of the 16 bit generation of video games! 8) Enough said, true believers! ;)
