My favourite Sonic game ever made

User Rating: 10 | Sonic Adventure 2 DC
What can I say about this incredibly awesome game? It rocks! I loved the music, characters and level styles. Lots of people complained that they changed the style from what it was from SA1, but I loved the changes. The Treasure Hunting levels are fun when you get used to them (with the exception of Meteor Herd and Mad Space) and I'm SO glad they got rid of the annoying Big and Amy levels. GAMEPLAY - Excellent. Maybe not perfect, but nothing short of great. There's lots of variety - Sonic, and the new character in the game, Shadow have the running levels where you have to run to the goal ring, Tails and Dr. Robotnik (also known as Dr. Eggman) had thr shooting levels, and Knuckles and Rouge, another new character did the treasure hunting levels where you had to find the lost pieces of the master Emerald. I found the majority of these levels great fun. Also, the characters are easy to control, and no complications whatsoever. You just have to get used to the controls, but it doesn't take long though

GRAPHICS - Even though graphics aren't hugely important, this game did have lovely graphics and especially for its time. Actually, I think it had better graphics than the future Sonic games. SOUND - I love most of the music to this game, especially the main theme because it is so catchy! The level music is nice to listen to as well, but I especially love the character theme tunes. Sonic's was good, Tails', I wasn't that fussed on (I preferred the one from SA1) Knuckles' was pretty good, Shadow's was awesome, and I loved Eggman's. Rouge's was decent and Amy's is alright too (the same one from SA1 only cut down a little). VALUE There are lots of things to do in this game and it lasts for a little while. The story splits up into two stories: Hero and Dark. Both stories come together but you play one part of it. One of the things I really like about it is its longevity. After you complete the Final Story of the game, you get bonus unlockables like extra soundtracks (warning: do not turn your Dreamcast off once you completed the game. Finish one level first so that the unlockables get saved) Another thing which you can do once finishing the game is collecting emblems. Once you have 180 emblems, then you can unlocj Green Hill Zone!! (even though I haven't unlocked it yet)

Overall, I think this is a stunning Sonic game which excels many of the others and I think that some people don't give this game much of a chance (2D purists that is). To me, this game is DEFINITELY worthy to the Sonic franchise!
