Sonic's debut in 3D. This game is brilliant.

User Rating: 9.4 | Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island SAT
This was Sonic's debut into the 3D world. It's too bad that not that many people have played this version of Sonic 3D Blast. Most people have probably played the Mega Drive (Genesis) version which is still good but this version is so much better. There are 7 massive zones each with 3 acts and they have textured landscapes plus this game has amazing 3D bonus levels. (Story) Sonic and co are off to visit the mysterious Flickey Island. Meanwhile, Dr Robotnik has hatched a new plan. his target this time is Flickey Island. He has detected the presence of the Chaos Emeralds on the Island. upon arriving there, Dr Robotnik immediately starts setting up his intruder defences, and begins building the robots he loves so much. But Dr Robotnik needs to find the Flickies to place inside his machines. Suddenly Dr Robotnik sees a bright shining Dimension Ring appear. A flock of Flickies fly out of the ring, perch on a tree branch, pick up some food and then disappear into the Dimension ring. Robotnik now knows the secret of the Flickeys, that they live in another dimesion. Robotnik develops a new device: the Dimension Ring Generator. He then captures Flickies with the Ring he made and then begins to turn them into badniks. Now its up to Sonic to stop the mad Doctors plan and save the Flickies and there Island. (Graphics) Sonic and the others have been improved a bit from the Mega Drive version but when you look at the back grounds there is where you will notice how good it looks. The Special Stages are the most amazing things ever. They are in full 3D (Like the Sonic in Sonic Jam). (Sound) The music on this game is completely different from the version on the Mega Drive. Thats not a bad thing because they are now even better than ever. One of the best points of the game. (How it plays) relay easy to play. You mite be better if you have a analog control because some things on the game are tricky. (Value) With 7 huge worlds make this a long game. Then there is getting the Chaos Emerald which is hard but worth it to see the final boss. (Overall) it is a shame that the Sega Saturn did not live long to see the better of this game because it is realy good. The only problem I can see is that Sonic is fast but no way near as fast as he was on the 2D games. But other than that this is a amazing game. I only wish that on Sonic Mega Collection they put this version on there instead of the Mega Drive version so people could see how good this game realy is.
